Miami Reentry Summit 2023
May 13, 2023 @ 8:30 am - 6:00 pm
The Reentry Summit is a highly anticipated event at the University of Miami on Saturday, May 13th, 2023. It brings together a diverse group of experts in the reentry community, government officials, and individuals impacted by the justice system to discuss and find solutions to the challenges facing those reintegrating into society after incarceration.
The Summit aims to create a platform for dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders in the reentry ecosystem, including policymakers, service providers, community leaders, and those who have experienced reentry challenges. The event will feature panel discussions, working groups, and networking opportunities, all designed to facilitate a collaborative approach to addressing the complex issues surrounding reentry.
The morning session will feature a series of interactive panel discussions with notable experts in the field, who will share their experiences and insights on the challenges and opportunities related to reentry. The afternoon will be devoted to working groups, where attendees can dive deeper into specific issues and work together to develop actionable solutions.
Some topics covered during the Summit include access to employment and education, housing and community outreach and healthcare, mental health and substance use, and legal services. By bringing together experts from across the reentry community and creating a space for meaningful dialogue and collaboration, the Reentry Summit promises to be a powerful catalyst for change and progress in this critical area.
Thanks to the University of Miami Department of Public Health Sciences grant, complimentary breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages will be available for attendees. We are excited to collaborate in enhancing reentry opportunities for justice-impacted individuals returning to Miami.
Space is limited, and pre-registration is required and highly encouraged.
