March 8, 2022 @ 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm
A Message from Jerry of Ben & Jerry’s
About the Event
If you haven’t already heard, two new Ben & Jerry’s are opening in the Tampa Bay-area on March 7th and March 8th. One location will be in Midtown Tampa, and the other will be in Clearwater Beach. This is double the fun with back-to-back celebrations. These two events are free and open to the public. There will be complimentary ice cream and cake samples, prizes, music from DJ Darluz, and face painting from Ruth’s Fab Faces. All Photos Considered will be capturing this magical event and photos will be made available on our Facebook afterwards. This fun-filled celebration will include music, dancing, sampling, arts and crafts tabling, and a story time for children.
Mayor Jane Castor will also be in attendance at both events as well as members of the chamber of commerce. During this entire week a portion of sales will be donated to their local partner organizations. Florida Justice Center will be joining the celebration to do nonpartisan voter registration and civic engagement.
The events will be Monday at 1:30 PM to 5:30 P.M. in Clearwater and on Tuesday from 1:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M in Tampa. The ribbon cutting will take place at 2:00 PM where the team will be joined by both the mayor and chamber of commerce.
The addresses of the events are as follows:
Ben & Jerry’s Midtown Tampa 1:30 P.M.-5:30 P.M. at 1106 Gramercy Lane, Tampa, FL 33607
Ben & Jerry’s Clearwater 1:30 P.M.-5:30 P.M. at 409 Mandalay Avenue Clearwater Beach FL 33767
“Although we didn’t make it in time for Martin Luther King day, we are so excited to be having our grand opening during Women’s History Month and on International Women’s Day. This will be a wonderful time to highlight our partnerships, especially those with women and girls. I am most looking forward to our story time where we will be reading the children’s book ‘A Is for Awesome!: 23 Iconic Women Who Changed the World’ by Eva Chen. This book will be read to girls and boys to show them how important women’s history is” – Anna LaRocco Masi, Director of Social Mission & Marketing for Primo Partners.
Please RSVP here( https://bit.ly/BandJTampaClearwater) so Ben & Jerry’s can reserve your spot at the craft table and of course your scoop of ice cream. You can follow updates to the events on their Instagram pages @benjerrystampa and @benjerrysclearwater.
These two franchise locations are Black-Owned businesses and are owned by the franchise group Primo Partners. Ben & Jerry’s Primo’s mission as entrepreneurs is to first and foremost be activists in their communities and not just philanthropists, and honor their commitment to improving racial and socioeconomic equity by growing the collective opportunity for the marginalized minority.
