Bruneley Lalanne, Esq.
Bruneley Lalanne, Esq. is a native Miamian. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Miami and went on to earn her Juris Doctor Degree at Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida.
Ms. Lalanne is a trial attorney with over eight years of experience. Ms. Lalanne worked as an Assistant Broward Public Defender for approximately 6 years. As a Public Defender, she managed cases through all stages of the judicial process which included offenses ranging from criminal traffic to first-degree felonies.
Due to Ms. Lalanne’s Haitian-descent, as an Assistant Public Defender she was tasked with handling most of the cases involving Creole-speaking clients. Because of her experiences representing clients from different cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds she was motivated to work with different organizations that provide legal aid to those individuals.
Ms. Lalanne continues to educate her community and the underrepresented in areas of criminal defense, family, and probate through different webinars and forums that she has hosted or has been a part of.
Additionally, Ms. Lalanne has been a speaker at various high schools to speak to the students about their rights, dreams, and aspirations.
Ms. Lalanne was awarded the National Black Lawyers Top 40 under 40 in 2020. Additionally, she was featured in Voyage Miami: Hidden Gems and received the Florida Justice Center, Justice All-Star Award in 2020. With her experience, Bruneley brings knowledge and a burning desire to provide justice that are necessary qualities to work at Florida Justice Center.
