Janet Tacoronte, Experienced Litigator, Joins Florida Justice Center Board of Directors

Civil attorney and advocate for equal access to justice joins leadership team of statewide legal aid organization.

Fort Lauderdale, FL (July 19, 2023) –

Florida Justice Center announced today the addition of Janet C. Tacoronte, Esq. to its board of directors. Janet is an attorney with over twenty years of legal experience. She currently serves as the General Counsel of Boats Group, the world’s #1 online marketplace for boats. Janet brings a wealth of legal knowledge to Florida Justice Center and a passion for second chances.

Janet started her legal career in private practice and managed a successful bankruptcy, real estate, and litigation practice before owning a title company that conducted hundreds of residential and commercial closings throughout the state. Janet has a long history of public service, having served on the Affordable Housing Board for the City of Sunrise as Vice-Chair for 7 years, as well as having provided pro bono representation in the areas of bankruptcy, foreclosures, wage garnishments, and landlord/tenant matters.

Janet is a born and raised Floridian and avid Miami Dolphins fan. In the off-season she enjoys spending her time with her family and traveling extensively.
