RISE Dispensary Kendall and Florida Justice Center to Host Expungement Event in Celebration of 4/20 and Second Chance Month

Legal aid organization and retail arm of Green Thumb Industries unite to provide free legal services to people in Miami on April 20, 2024.

Miami, FL (April 16, 2024) –

Florida’s premier rights restoration legal services provider, Florida Justice Center, announced today that it is hosting a free expungement event in collaboration with Green Thumb Industries at its RISE Dispensary location in the Kendall area of Miami.

Founded in March 2019, Florida Justice Center was created to address racial and socioeconomic disparities in the criminal legal system, helping build equity for marginalized and disproportionately affected groups. The organization provides access to legal services for low-income individuals in the state, assisting them in overcoming barriers caused by criminal legal system involvement.

“RISE has been one of Florida Justice Center’s most avid partners since 2021. They truly understand the meaning of a second chance, the importance of accessible legal services for low-income people, and ending the war on drugs,” said Jonathan Bleiweiss, Executive Director of Florida Justice Center. “It is great that they are co-hosting this event during Second Chance Month in one of Miami’s most underserved neighborhoods.”

Green Thumb joined the Florida community in 2018 and operates two production facilities in Ocala and Homestead where the Company produces its branded products. Green Thumb’s cultivation and manufacturing practices reflect the highest quality standards to ensure all its products offer a true-to-plant, consistent experience. The Company’s retail brand, RISE Dispensaries, is committed to expanding access to well-being through cannabis and making a positive impact on the communities it serves. In addition to RISE Kendall, there are eight other RISE Dispensaries in Florida, including locations in Bonita Springs, Brandon, Deerfield Beach, Fruitland Park, Hallandale Beach, Kendall, Oviedo, Pinellas Park and West Palm Beach, with delivery services available at each location. All RISE Dispensaries in Florida offer products from Green Thumb’s award-winning family of brands, including RYTHM premium flower and full spectrum vapes, Dogwalkers pre-rolls, Good Green flower, and &Shine flower, pre-rolls, vapes and chews.

RISE Dispensary Kendall is located at 11611 N Kendall Dr, Miami, FL 33173. The event will occur on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10am to 3pm.
